Let's Work It Out!

As we enter into fall, working out is still on my To Do List. Since traveling for some was nonexistent this summer, I know that a lot of us will be traveling during the colder months if we can. This means we need to have our beach bods ready! Stay ready so we don’t have to get ready, right?

Check out some of my fave work outs i’m doing right now Below!

For anyone who is in a workout rut and wanting to find new fun and effective ways to workout I am here to help! Since we are in quarantine, I know we all are having to get creative. I am no workout guru or expert but I am very aware of my body and knows what works and doesn’t. As of now, I am focusing on maintaining my weight while toning fat into muscle but this workout is great for losing weight as well. Focusing on keeping those sexy, womanly lines and getting super fit is what I get from this workout. I like to start with a warm up, next cardio, then I work on focal areas I am trying to improve. ie glutes, abs and legs. This work out is about an hour long. Perfect for any daily practice.

The Routine:

Quick Yoga:

I like to start my workout with a quick little yoga sesh/ stretch. I do it for about 10-15 mins. This is just a way to warm up the body and stretch before we get into our cardio. Yoga for me wakes up the body, muscles and joint and gets your blood circulating. You are going to be able to tone and stretch during this warm up so its a two in one!

My favorite yogi is Yoga with Adriene. She is fun and she helps you feel every move. You can find her on Youtube and she has great 10-15 minute sessions to start your work out. She has plenty to warm you up!

African Dance:

So my sister told me about doing African dance work outs and I fell in love after trying! You may be like “African Dance, Are you serious?” but Yes, I am! I mean who doesn’t love African Dance. This is the most fun cardio work out I have done thus far! I have fun and work up and sweat while doing it. I never sweat but this gets me there.

I do the Kukuwa African Dance workouts on youtube and when you see these ladies you will see the results if you keep at it. It’s a family team of 3 including Kukuwa, her daughter and niece. They are all so fit! In each work out they tell you what country each song is from so you feel like you are actually there. Each workouts are about 15-20 minutes and trust me that is all you need!

Bum Bum Sesh:

So a targeted booty workout is a must in any work out routine. Recently, I found a 10 minute booty work out by Popsugar that truly gets the job done!! I’m sure you’re like “Girl what? 10 minutes?!” but yes! I am sweating and struggling by the end and its well worth it! Each time I do it, I feel like I am getting stronger, as it does get easier if you do it consistently. I love this work out because its quick and super effective. For more resistance, add ankle weights.
