Coconut Oil
Oil pulling, also known as "kavala" or "gundusha," is an ancient Ayurvedic dental ritual that involves swishing a tablespoon of oil in your mouth on an empty stomach for around 20 minutes. This action supposedly draws out toxins in your body, specifically to improve oral health but also to improve your overall health.
From my personal experience, oil pulling definitely freshens the breath and gives your mouth an overall clean feel. My teeth seem to whiten a bit too. If I can oil pull twice a day I do it but if anything do it at night. I feel that is the best time to do this ritual. I like to floss before and be sure to brush after. Refrain from putting the oil down the sink after pulling. It’s not good for the drains. Check out the benefits below!
