Exploring Arizona with Style Pioneer.

It was my first time traveling to Arizona and I was very excited to be visiting. I had the chance to visit Phoenix, Sedona & Antelope Canyon.

While in Phoenix I had the chance to view its beautiful mountain side. The day started off with lunch at True Food Kitchen, my meal was so good. True Food offers great vegan and non vegan options so it was perfect for my friends and I. After lunch, we stopped by Piestewa Peak, one of the state national parks. This park offered amazing views of Phoenix and had several trails that lead to the top peak. I didn’t climb to the top but still enjoyed visiting and basking in nature.

There is no other word to describe Sedona other than breathtaking. All the pictures of the Red Rock Mountains online don’t compare to seeing them in person. I definitely encourage you to visit when you have a chance. In Sedona, we stayed at the Amara Resort (pictured below), it was pretty chilly so we didn’t enjoy the pool or outside areas as much. I did take a yoga class one morning and join in on the daily happy hour, can’t pass up a good glass of wine.

We wined and dined and some of the nicest places Sedona has to offer. Starting with dinner at Mariposa Grill, the food was delectable. We were serenaded by a violinist who played the top hits that kept you entertained all night.

Lunch at Tii Gavo is a must! The food is good, drinks are great and the view will leave you speechless. The outside seating area has firepits to keep you warm and the mountains are so close you feel like you can touch them. We rounded out Sedona with a visit to the spa and dinner before we prepared for our journey to Antelope Canyon.

Timing is key when visiting Antelope Canyon. It’s all about getting into the canyon at the right time of the day so that the light beams will be able to shine through. Best times are said to be between 10am - 12noon. The light beams create the most beautiful pictures, in fact the most expensive photo ever sold was taken at Antelope Canyon.

This was such a great experience to see how nature developed this canyon over time and produced so many colors. When visiting Arizona, this is a must see, be sure to add this to your list.
